Hello from us all of us at Dunston Hall, we want to share with you some of the beautiful spring flowering bulbs we have on sale at the moment, daffodils, crocus, snowdrops and bluebells are all just starting to burst into flower to give you a fantastic display of colour in your pots and borders throughout spring and into early summer. We have plenty in stock ready for instant colour in pots ready to plant straight away, so if you didn’t get a chance to plant your spring bulbs in the autumn then don’t worry it’s still not too late…
If you are a gardener who likes to plan ahead then you would have planted your bulbs during the fall, all winter they will have been concentrating on growing a root system in the soil and you should start to see green shoots shooting up from the ground anytime now.
Tip: Once your bulbs have finished flowering don’t be in too much of a rush to get rid of them by cutting the plants down, although by this time of the year people are starting to get itchy feet and want to get started in the gardens tidying up etc.. simply fold the plants over into a neat clump and put a band around them or some string and let all the goodness from the flowers die back naturally into the bulb so that you get bigger and better displays next spring.
